Preparing Your Clip

Shearing one's alpaca is the first, and perhaps most critical, step in the value added chain.  As such, it is important that shearing is done with an eye towards the ultimate use of the fiber. Getting ready for shearing day begins on shearing day - of the previous year.  Everything that your alpaca experiences or comes in contact will impact the quality of fiber that is harvested.
