2010 Clip Call

2010 Call for Clip Collection

  • Collection period is from April 1, 2010 through December 31, 2010
  • We are calling for “Skirted” blankets, neck, & britch, (no leg fiber)
  • Neck and Britch  (NOTHING UNDER 2.5”)
  • AFCNA is paying the freight charges from Regional Collection Centers, ranch/farms or AOBA shows for boxed fiber palletized over 500 lbs. Arrangements must be made through the Decatur office.
  • A member contribution report is required for EACH bag of fiber
  • Boxes are to be a maximum of 18" x 18" x 18" and in good condition (not breaking down or torn). 16” x 16” x 16” or smaller gets better shipping rates if shipped individually.
  • Fiber is to be placed in boxes by color and the color written on the outside of the box
  • To maximize space multiple colors may be placed in on box as long as all colors, and the number of bags per color, are listed on the outside of the box...along with ranch name and AFCNA member number
  • Example:
    XYZ Ranch, Member # 12345
    4 bags white
    2 bags blackEtc.

Shareholders will pay shipping costs to collection points, (if needed) talk to your local transporters to get boxed fiber to the collection sites. Create collection sites at your local shows. Get your affiliates involved.

Regional Clip Collection Centers will be responsible for getting shipments to Decatur. Regional Clip Collection center coordinators need to work with our Production Director to seek the best pricing available....Tammy 1-877-859-0172

Clip contributions are to be shipped to:

AFCNA
17494 State Highway 58 North
Decatur, TN 37322

Remember that in order to continue to provide this shipping, fiber from the membership must be acceptable; no Vegetation Matter (VM) or 2nd cuts.

We are researching new additional vendors to help in production. We have buyers for our fiber and yarn, yet we just don’t have enough raw fiber.

This is YOUR Cooperative. It is vital, to it’s success, that the whole membership participate in this year’s clip call. We need to increase the supply chain and if it’s about the fiber then get on the program. Members,,, you want a fiber industry, well here it is!

Thank You,

Your 2010 AFCNA Board of Directors
