New AFCNA Member Website
(01-04-2010)Dear Member,
We are in the process of rolling out the new AFCNA
member website at www.afcna.com
You may want to print this email since it contains
important information.
For security reasons, all member usernames and
passwords have been reset. In order to access the member area of the site you
will need to follow the following instructions:
1. Click on the "Login" link at the top of the
page
2. Click on "Forgot Password"
3. Check the "Lost Username" box, fill in your email
address and click "Send Username/Password". Note: The system has your current
email address on file with the office. If you do not receive an email with your
new Username, we might not have the correct email, in which case you will need
to contact the office.
You should receive your username via email. This may
take a few minutes.
You will now have to reset your password.
1. Click on the "Login" link at the top of the
page
2. Click on "Forgot Password"
3. Check the "Lost Password" box, fill in your
username (from the above steps) and email and click "Send
Username/Password"
You should receive a new password, comprised of a
random string of characters, via email within a few minutes.
You will want to change your username and password as
soon as possible.
1. Sign into the member's area using the "Login" link
at the top of the page 2. In the Member's Only dropdown click on "My User
Profile" 3. In the "Edit" dropdown (under your name) click on "Update Your
Profile" 4. Make the appropriate changes, review other information for accuracy
and click on "Update".
Please note, there are several categories of personal
information on the new site, the details of which will be covered in a follow-up
email. For now you should understand the following about the "Update Your
Profile Page":
1. The following information is visible to all AFCNA
Members:
Name
Address
Farm Name (linked to website if
applicable)
2. Information below the Member Info" Box is only
accessible by you and AFCNA Staff. This is information that is critical to
maintaining our membership roles. It is your responsibility to assure that this
information is accurate in order for us to maintain contact with you (via email
or snail mail).
If you have questions about this, please click on the
profile of any other member under the "Members Only > AFCNA Members" link
which will reveal exactly what information is available to other users of the
website.
Another email will be coming out shortly covering
some of the functionality of the new website.
If you run into problems with the site, first re-read
the above instructions, and if that doesn't help send an email to
admin@afcna.com.
Thanks,
AFCNA Site Administrator
P.S. Our apologies if
this email is redundant. The first "bug" discovered had to do with the
email system.
